Hertz
Website of a supplier of modern technologies for the military

About Hertz Systems and our mission
HertzSystems is a Polish technology company based in Zielona Góra, Poland, operating for almost 30 years, specializing in the military, space, and civilian sectors. It is a leading manufacturer of anti-drone systems in Poland. Our task was to design and implement a new website showcasing the company’s full production capabilities.
Website Operation Assumptions and Preparatory Work
As part of the preparatory work, we completed the following tasks:
Persona analysis (audience groups)
Identification of key users:
- Representatives of state institutions (Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Interior and Administration, government agencies)
- Industrial and international contractors (NATO, ESA, EDA)
- R&D departments and technical staff of partner companies
- Industry media, potential employees, investors
In this we have defined their information needs: access to technical data, certificates, reference projects, information security
Competition analysis and industry benchmarks
- We reviewed the websites of defense and high-tech companies (both locally and internationally).
- We developed the information structure, message tone, offer presentation, and compliance with security standards (e.g., lack of localization, limited access to technical data).

Low-fidelity mockups
In the low-fidelity mockup process, our goal was to present a hierarchy of information and organize it well, as Hertz Systems has a very broad scope of activities.
- We used sketches to illustrate our concepts, then transferred them into clickable mockups in Figma.
- We defined key sections on each subpage (header, content, CTA, footer).
- We conducted several consultation sessions with the client.

Graphic Design
and High-Fidelity Mockups
When creating the graphic design for the hertzsystems.com corporate website, we incorporated the triangle motif from the company logo. As a result, the graphic design perfectly aligned with the client’s visual identification system. We developed high-fidelity mockups, providing a realistic representation of the website’s appearance – including colors, typography, and interactions.
- We refined all UI elements (buttons, forms, navigation, grid layout).
- We added sample and target content (text, images, infographics).
- The documentation was developed in Figma for both desktop and mobile versions.
At this stage of work, we have prepared 36 unique views and 12 detailed ones.

Desktop and mobile implementation
As part of the implementation, it is worth mentioning several functionalities that have appeared on the website:
- Extensive and visually striking information pages for four sectors (later limited to three sectors: military, space, and civilian, including GPS and security).
- Extensive blog module with interesting articles developed by engineers.
- The website is implemented in seven languages: Polish, English, German, Russian, American, Spanish, and French, with an advanced content management and standardization system.
- GPS savings configurator.
- Multimedia presentation of a unique anti-drone system.
The implementation work was divided into sprints (each sprint had 5 working days), including: 4 working days for the developers, 2-4 hours for QA testing by the tester, 2-4 hours for corrections, and 4 hours for testing on the client’s side. In each sprint, we planned a short period of time for corrections due to the relatively small scope of work; in case of faster completion, we started the next sprint.
Management and progress control:
- In the Monday.com system, we maintained a board accessible to the client and the team, where we monitored project progress.
- The client reviewed each sprint and provided feedback in the sprint comments.
- Sprint closure, acceptance protocol, and work settlement were all handled remotely.
- After the implementation was complete, it took us about 4-5 days to test the so-called BETA version, ready for content.

Preparation for
publication of the website
The final stage of the implementation was the release of the finished BETA version (with all features and test content). Our next step was to conduct training for administrators so they could implement the final content.
- BETA version – created as a ready-made mechanism for use by administrators and editors on the client’s side. It has full functionality. The client used this version to complete the content.
- Training and support for the client’s administrator on the BETA version – we provide standard training and assistance to the client’s team in case of any issues.
- Introduction of content in language versions – in this case, in up to 7 language versions.
- Manual testing in a test environment, including forms and social media links.
- Page loading speed optimization.
- SEO optimization, remarketing database launch, and website metering.
