marathon international logistics
Website of a dynamically developing logistics company

About the marathon website refresh and our task
As part of Marathon’s next brand refresh, approximately 10 years after our first rebranding project, we were tasked with designing and implementing a new corporate website for Marathon International Logistics. See and evaluate how we succeeded.

Page lift in the desktop version
While designing the website, we retained 80% of the existing subpage structure, but we added certain features to facilitate the processing of quote requests (integration with the internal ERP system) and the work of the HR department (through integration with eRekruter, among other things). One of the key elements of the project was the creation of a CSR subpage showcasing the company’s extensive commitment to social causes.

A completely new approach to the mobile version
When implementing the new website design, we decided to implement a mobile version, treated in the design as a mobile app (in fact, this means a shift in thinking from adapting the desktop version to completely redesigning the site). We focused on large apps, large titles, and a lot of video content.

Content creation for the website
When working with any company, we also offer content development, photo selection, and video production for the website. This provides clients with a virtually finished website, requiring only a content review before publication.

Preparing for publication of the website
Before publication, we carried out a number of works to ensure the quality of the website (in 5 language versions).
- Verification of all features (forms, integrations, dynamic logic)
- Responsiveness testing (mobile, tablet, desktop)
- Cross-browser testing (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge)
- Content verification: spelling, links, metadata, SEO tags
After preparing the production environment (LIVE), we migrated the website.
- Exporting the database and staging files (e.g., via Duplicator, All-in-One WP Migration, WP CLI)
- Importing to the production server
- Checking permalink structures
- Setting an SSL certificate + enforcing HTTPS
- Setting backups (cyclical backups + backup immediately after migration)
- Enabling caching (e.g., WP Rocket, Litespeed, Redis) – after testing the site’s performance
- Optimizing loading speed (CSS/JS minification, lazy loading, image optimization)
- Adding Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager
