Ways to increase conversions in your e-shop

Every e-shop owner strives to increase sales. High conversion in the e-commerce industry is one of the most important factors that have a real impact on the success of an online store.

What exactly is the conversion rate? Simply put, it is the ratio of sales to visits by Internet users to the e-shop, multiplied by 100%. This provides information on how many people make a purchase out of all visitors.

Every e-shop owner would like their sales to be as high as possible, often not realizing how important a professional website is in increasing the number of customers.

A low conversion rate can be caused by low usability and low functionality of the e-shop. How to improve its value? Building online stores should be based on high intuitiveness in use, transparency and attractiveness of the site.

Visitors should know what you are selling from the very beginning. It is important to place current promotions in a visible place, highlight attractive products and use Call To Action buttons that encourage visitors to take specific actions.

An online store should also have good navigation. Customers quickly get irritated if they are unable to find the product they are looking for in a short time, and an irritated customer will not only give up the purchase, but will also not return to it. That is why the most important elements of an online store should be arranged in a way that is as intuitive as possible.

An equally important issue is the functionality of the basket. Is it convenient and easy to use? Is the shopping process itself (from the moment of selecting the product to payment) not complicated and does not take too long? Complicated forms and unclear forms of payment discourage customers, which is why the shopping process should be based only on clear and transparent information and functions necessary for the transaction.

If you want to increase the conversion rate, remember that the product is the most important. A picture says more than a thousand words, so you cannot forget about large, aesthetic, good quality photos of products, because they are the ones that appeal to customers the most.

Add a few photos – each product should be presented from a different perspective, so that the consumer will not be unpleasantly surprised after opening the package with the order. It is also a good idea to invite customers to build a gallery together (e.g. by sending photos in clothes of a given brand). In most cases, this idea is met with enthusiasm, as a result of which customers are happy to share their photos, which are then placed on the website.

The process of increasing conversion in an online store is not an easy task, but it is an extremely important procedure from the point of view of their owners. Designing websites should take into account the needs of customers, because they are the most important. By observing the traffic on the website and the actions of consumers, you can effectively design a website that will increase the conversion rate. As a result, not only customer satisfaction will increase, but also the profits from the website.
