    About Eurocash and our mission

Eurocash Group is Poland’s largest wholesale distributor of FMCG products (food and daily necessities), supporting the development of independent retailers in Poland for over 30 years. The company employs over 20,000 people and serves over 90,000 customers, of whom approximately 70,000 are local entrepreneurs operating retail stores.

We have been working for Eurocash for over 15 years, during which time we have implemented the Eurocash intranet, corporate websites, and websites for Eurocash wholesalers and ABC stores. Below, we focus solely on the implementation of the corporate website.

Corporate website operation assumptions and preparatory work

The preparation and consulting process took over 2 weeks and included:

    • competitor analysis – collecting information about good practices and interesting functionalities
    • persona analysis – collecting information about the website’s Persona paths
    • list of views and functionalities – development of a complete list of views with a short description of the functionalities
    • SEO consultation – before starting the design work, we obtained guidelines from the agency serving the client

The result of the work was the collection of information necessary to prepare clickable prototypes.

    Graphic design
    and preparation of clickable mockups

We divided the Eurocash website design process into several stages, each with a milestone:

Step I – preparing a conceptual design of the home page with 2 key subpages to show the visual assumptions and ways of building sections,
Step II – corrections and refinement of the home page and 2 subpages in mobile and desktop versions
Step III – designs of the remaining unique views in the desktop and mobile versions along with corrections
Step IV – preparing clickable mockups in Figma and supporting documentation (1. Content specification 2. Editable and non-editable specifications)

The entire design and documentation preparation process took 3 months (including obtaining approval from the client).

    Desktop and mobile implementation

The implementation process, including supplementing the pages with content received from the client and external integrations, took 3 months.

The implementation work was divided into sprints (each sprint had 10 working days), including: 8 working days for the developers, 2-4 hours for QA testing by the tester, 2-4 hours for corrections, and 4 hours for client-side testing. In each sprint, we planned a short period of time for corrections due to the relatively small scope of work; in the case of faster completion, we started the next sprint.

    Management and progress control:

    • In the Monday.com system, we maintained a board accessible to the client and the team, where we monitored project progress.
    • The client reviewed each sprint and provided feedback in sprint comments.
    • Sprint closure, acceptance protocol, and work settlement were all handled remotely.
    • After the implementation was complete, it took us about 4-5 days to test the entire project and create a BETA version, ready for content.

Unique solutions on the corporate website

On Eurocash corporate websites we have implemented, among others:

    • integration with WSE systems – displaying the current share price
    • an extensive system for presenting company data – an archive of reports, an archive of important public information of the company
    • an extensive HR module (with a presentation of career opportunities at Eurocash and the organization of competitions for students)

    Preparing for website publication

After providing content in the language versions of the website, we conducted training for the client’s administrator on the BETA (test) version. In addition to the training, we also completed additional work to prepare the website for operation:

    • manual testing in a test environment, including forms and social media links
    • page loading speed optimization
    • SEO optimization, launching remarketing databases, website metering
    • safety tests
    • 1:1 test environment and a copy of the master clickable mockups from the moment of implementation

The implementation price always includes full copyright to the designs, content and code, with the right to make any changes.
